Vale has a variety of parks and other outdoor activities to enjoy. Several public parks are listed below with a map link to guide you to each location.
Wadleigh Park

This 14.5 acre park has baseball fields, playground equipment, and a skate park. It is located between the Vale City Pool and rodeo grounds. It also has two covered pavilions for parties and picnics.
Public Restrooms are available at Wadleigh Park.

Cottonwood Park

Located in the northern part of the city, Cottonwood park provides plenty of grass to play on, soccer goals, ultimate frisbee course, and a few picnic tables. The city of Vale and the Parks committee have some great plans to add more amenities to this park in the near future.

One of the only pool’s in the area, the Vale City Pool is typically open the end of May through September. The pool can be reserved for private party’s! Check out the Vale City Pool’s Facebook page to see the latest information.
2022 CITYWIDE PARKS & RECREATION PLAN

We want to hear from you!
The City has started to prepare a citywide Parks and Recreation Master Plan to establish a road map for providing high-quality, community-driven parks, trails and recreation offerings for Vale. The new Parks and Recreation Plan will allow the City to respond to new opportunities as they arise and be strategic about planned investments to the park system.
The review and adoption of the new, citywide Parks and Recreation Plan is anticipated for late 2022.
Open House Meeting for Parks Master Plan – Mark your calendar!
The City is hosting an open house to seek public input about the future of parks and outdoor recreation in Vale. Please join the project team to explore the opportunities for enhancing the City’s parks and offer thoughts on priority improvements. The open house will be on Wednesday, October 12th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall (150 Longfellow St N). Please attend to hear more about this project and share your thoughts about the future of Vale’s park and recreation services.
